Terra Washco MA, MFTC
I am a relationship therapist who works with couples, families, and individuals to heal traumas and repair attachment wounds. Our goal in therapy will be to improve your relationship with yourself and those you love. I show up authentically for my clients using direct and empathetic communication. If you like someone who will be honest and challenge you, then we will be a good fit. I am excited to work with people who are brave enough to seek change and willing to learn a new way to be in relationships. You don’t need to have it all together or have the right words, just be willing to show up.
I offer my clients a safe and inclusive space to talk openly about life's challenges, both past and present. I utilize skills I have acquired in Attachment, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), among others to inform my approach to treatment. I bring an abundance of life experience that allows me to provide clients with an empathetic and accepting therapeutic experience.
I have personal experience in overcoming challenges with the help of therapy. I approach my clients free of judgment and full of understanding. Your work with me will offer you a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the relationships that play an integral role in your life. You are not in this alone, let's do the work together.
I’m a proud Colorado native who enjoys all it has to offer. I love spending time with family and friends (my three kids are pretty cool). In my free time I like to be outdoors, going on long walks with my two pups, paddle boarding, camping, snowboarding, playing golf and going to concerts. I also enjoy reading, cooking new recipes, and trying to keep my houseplants alive.
I received a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Social Science from Colorado State University Global. I have additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Play Therapy, and the Gottman Method.
